depends what wheels you have, if they are all gloss black you can touch them up with black enamel, but if yours are diamond cut shiny face ones, then you need to 1) find a wheel refurb place that does diamond cut alloys and 2) take the keys off your missus

item 1 might be less painful than item 2 Whistle

Be aware that for a full refurbishment (back to new), you'll need a diamond cut wheel specialist to re-cut the face. This can only be done a limited number of times, since material is removed each time. This will cost significantly more than a regular refurbishment.

If you go anywhere and they aren't re-cutting on a lathe, then they'll be doing a touch up job using filler and closest match paint. This can look ok, but is in no way back to factory finish.

In case it is applicable, I understand from my local JLR dealer that when you take out the wheel & tyre insurance, you're only getting the touch up job and not a full re-cut.

The question is, if it's bad, have the wheels been bent? It may never balance properly if it's out of round, in which case it may just be cheaper to buy a new one.
