    Retrofit dual view display

    Hello all,

If have a 2017 hse Luxury, but in 2017 the dual view display option was not available.
Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit it?

    Thanks.

    Nick

    Very much doubt it.

I have recently been experimenting in trying to change the Audio Control Module and the replacement unit has to be the same as originally fitted to the vehicle.

The post 2017 DOIP system that JLR now use will not allow CCF changes, unlike the earlier sytem where one can access the CCF and make the changes to allow upgrade modifications.

Nick, am pretty sure the dual view was available in 2017, as we specced that along with the TV on the Hse Lux. (However cancelled it for a First Edition, which was advertised as having the TV, but it transpired it did not).

Anyhow LR said the TV could not be fitted afterwards to the FE. Went to a car hifi specialist, and they said it would cost £1k for the TV, and that was without the dual view, which I believe is a different screen from the normal screen on the infotainment system, according to the salesman.

I doubt you can retrofit the dual view, unless you get a second hand screen which already has the dual view screen, but I may be wrong.

LR is the only car brand that we have owned, where even adding simple things like upgrading from halogen too xenon lights, needs messing around with the CCF.

As the owner of a Japanese brand, I find they are alot simpler to work on, and user friendly.

No messing about with CCF files when fitting aux lights, or air horns etc, simply plug and play.
