I was told by JLR that they were enabling software updates in batches by VIN number.
I jumped the queue by asking my dealer to turn enable my VIN, which he did.
The dealer had the ability to do it via their system.
The seat fold is available as standard on HSE Lux (UK - other countries may vary) and paid option on HSE. The seat hardware is identical between HSE and HSE Lux however there are a few extra switches (fold flat) in the boot also the front screen has the seat and headrest fold option when you have intelligent seat fold. If you have the option then the server has this enabled to allow the phone app to show the seat fold options on your phone screen (its via the server subcription). Also the remote app stuff works via the inbuilt sim inside the car not the sim slot in the arm rest area as this is only used for nav data and software updates etc. The telematics stuff all works via the inbuilt sim which we cannot access.
If anyone has a HSE Lux and the app doesnt show the seat fold options they should contact the dealer and raise an issue as this maybe down to an issue at LR backend and they should be able to fix it via the server.
Last time I folded the seats using the App it set the alarm off and woke everyone up (was early). And Landrover called me to say the alarm had gone off! So, if you need the car to be unlocked to make use of the App, then you’re probably close enough to just open the boot and press the buttons. Yes, I suppose you could use the app to unlock, fold the seat and lock back up.... but really, would you?

ahhh....not had that problem, have folded (and unfolded without thinking, which means the boot mat was squashed up against the tailgate window) and not managed to set alarm off. Maybe my alarm doesn't work lol.
I do like being able to fold or unfold the seats from the front screen having said that, esp as I discovered the other day the 3rd row move whilst still driving
