    Vibration at low revs

I am on my second D5. I don't remember my previous D5 changing up under light load to a point where the revs were from 1000 to 1500. Now, when the upchange to "top" in the new car results in revs being around the 1000 mark (when going though town at 30 mph for example), I notice engine vibration. Is this common? Are other MY2020 models changing up at such low revs?

    Thanks

My 2Ltr seems to do this, such that you think it shouldnt have changed up. On occasions I have manually changed down myself. Not sure why as I dont think it did it when I first got the car (MY18). Maybe mine needs a gearbox reset.

My 3.0 is doing just this,

Around 1-1.5 revs, can’t work out if it’s a specific gear

My 18my TDV6 will happily trundle around at light throttle at low revs, generally downshifts around 1050rpm, sqeeze the throttle slightly more and it will kick down at higher revs, once torque converter is locked up in 3rd gear will run down to 1050rpm in all gears 3-8. Generally find the V6D are smoother than the I4d at these low revs.

My dealer (and yours by the look of it!) thinks they have an answer. It's going in tomorrow to have some software checked. I'll report back.

    UPDATE:

The dealer updated the traction control software and although the car still settles at around 1300 revs at 50mph, it seems now that the change down is happening a little sooner and the revs pop up quicker. I have only driven back from the dealer so haven't given it a real try so I guess time will tell and so will towing the caravan.

I remained unhappy with the vibrations and met with the Master Tech. We first went out in their identical demo car then mine. Although this is the type of " thing" you tune into over time, he agreed that there was "something". Having agreed, he was able to spend time on the issue which would be funded by JLR. Apparently they have a high tech gizmo that can help identify noise and vibration anomalies. We agreed that the car would go in for a few days but when we went to book it in, the receptionist said that they were about to lock down in the afternoon!

Just a thought, could this be a turbo issue?

    Cheers

I think mine is getting worse. Im finding at low revs when not applying to much power sort of a vibration/notchy noise.

Ill book it in as soon as i can but i bet getting it to do it there wont be easy.

2020 HSE. My vibration problems are between 60 and 70 mph and worsen on an incline or decline if on cruise. Dealer had car in and said they did not experience issues on test drive. Now done 2k and more noticeable - any thoughts? Not tyres, balance or alignment.
