    Is it harder than the silicon, tungsten, and other minerals that are in the grit that the brushes pick up off of other cars?

    I have a coating too, but it's not as hard as the stuff they drop on the roads here in winter, which makes its way into the bristles at the car wash....

    It is the hardest possible, but scratches are still possible, but normally these will be in the coating, so easy to put a new layer on, and not in the cars paint. I have to go back once a year for a check and then they fix it if necessary.

    I use a window cleaning stick from morrisons pefrol sfation. Basically a foot wide cleaning pad on a cranked pole,
    Or use a conifer as I did for the conservatory

    I have a telescopic silk mop brush off eBay. Reaches most of the roof from one point so easy to clean the whole roof when you move round...

    The wife objected to me having it done every week and accused me of deliberately getting it muddy (Would I?).....so it needed young Susie’s* attention.

    *NB name changed for my safety ...her boyfriend has a Discovery and you never know who’s reading these threads. Cool
