Leaky Windscreen
I too have joined the wet wet wet club , Discovery hadnt move for 3 weeks due to holidays and isolation , went out yday and drivers seat soaking , turned key and nothing appeared on the dash at all or the radio screen , felt the floor and moved the car in the drive could actually hear water sloshing about , plus there was a curry type smell , called Land Rover Assistance and car was collected on transporter and got call from dealer today who are checking it out , all good so far , problem is id expect a full interior refit due to water ingress , head lining and driver seat soaked so will smell at some point who knows what its done to electrics , seats were moving on their own car was raising an lowering on its own , l'll wait on their response but I dont want a car with dodgy electrics as coming to end of warranty .

Good luck on getting it sorted.
When mine went in with soggy carpets, it got a new windscreen eventually and came back with soggy carpets. Was sent back to the dealership. I was told that it was not on the LR warranty worksheet!!!!

well.... 3 months out of LR Manufacturers warranty and I discover a damp headlining. Pushed the screen from inside and it moves. This will be interesting to see what they have to say, mine is a 2017 and 4000 after the original published VIN range.

Mordred, that must be the full house of LR faults for you now? Bloody awful. I hope they take care of this one outside of warranty for you.

Just about there yes Eq.
I have involved JLR themselves since its excluded from the LR extended warranty, so we will see how they deal with it.
Was contemplating keeping it til ita 5 years old, having second thoughts now have to admit.

LR have had enough time to sort this problem out in production, but it appears they haven't. I noticed a leak in the LH top of my MY20 HSE with solar windscreen and HUD.
I will be getting it. fixed in the next couple of weeks.

It appears that I must be lucky then as my D5 has an Open Recall for the front window, but as it is not leaking in the slightest (it lives outside so my wife's car can be warm in the garage) so I am not letting LR near it!!

mine is in on 16/17 November for the screen to come out. It's 4 months out of warranty, hasn't been questioned, other than dealer won't take it in until they receive a new screen incase the break it removing it (hope they do as its got a stone chip in anyway)

My car is a 17 (67 reg) when the car 12 months old I thought the screen was replaced, but it wasn't it was repaired which failed 2 years 2 months later.
I still love my car but would advise anyone to only buy a Landrover with a very long warranty because the build quality doesn't reflect the price. Because of covid-19, I've got to keep the car longer, I'm not sure weather I'm staying with the brand.
When you pay nearly 60k for your car you expect trouble free motoring, it's been the most unreliable car I've ever owned.

Hi mordred1973 If you're paying for the repair don't go through the dealer. It's a specialist job and they use a windscreen company to come in and repair it and charge you double.
I was quoted £400 for a new screen and £120 for a repair because they can break it taking them out, but weather it's a new or old screen if it's not fitted properly it will fail like mine.

JLR are paying.
Trouble is with road sign recognition, solar treatment, Head Up Display, all the advice is to make sure i get an original LR screen not an Autoglass own brand, otherwise I would have made sire it was replaced under my insurance (has a chip i could have leaned on lol)
