Fuel pump failure
Has anyone experienced this as a problem;
It manifests at acceleration resulting in total
Loss of power and engine failure. When the car is stopped and started again the car will run. The fault is reproduced when prompt acceleration is required.
I’ve been told it’s a fuel pump failure..... fuel pump has been replaced. However, I’m
Interested to see if anyone else has experienced this delight.

Fuel filter was fine.
Problem resolved after fuel pump replaced.

Hi
I’d be interested to know what happened here and what the outcome was. My 2018 Disco 5 SD4 fuel pump failed or so I was told.. fuel pump replaced as Local MD (£3k ish).
I’ve had car back a month. Never run right. Sluggish on start up kept cutting out. Took it back to dealer last week. Thinking fuel issue / blocked fuel filter / needs bleeding etc etc.
Nope - Diagnosed as low on compression on 3 cylinders and under under boost warnings from Turbo on ECU Fault list. In short the engine’s knackered…. Hopefully under warranty from purchase dealer which wasn’t a LRMD.
I’m now thinking did the engine knacker the fuel pump in the first place or visa versa and/or was something missed last month.
On a positive side. The LRMD make a cracking cup of Coffee 😂😂😂
You got to laugh or I’d be in the corner crying!!
Has anyone else had similar or the same ?
