    Alternatives to LR Incontrol.

    Hi there,
    does anyone know if there are alternatives to the LR's Incontrol apps ?
    I have a LR Discovery 5 Si4 HSE and I am not too happy with the LR InControl apps Sad

    I only ever use CarPlay. With Siri, for me, it's infinitely better than LR's in-control stuff

    Same. CarPlay all the way. The less time I spend in the JLR UI, the better.

    Not even accessed LR IC apps for over 2 years, as soon as I had Android Auto that's all I use. (esp when they removed Spotify from IC apps, since that's all I really use it for.)

    Well, at this point the choice is only Apple CarPlay with my iPhone.

    A have read something about the JLR API (software library) available to create Apps similar to the LR apps, but evidently is not so simple (or not well documented).

    CarPlay preferred,

    Have used in control apps until the moment Spotify App integration in InControl Apps via Bluetooth was dropped. Simply as it allowed me to have two mobile phones connected (1 active, 1 other directly available via switching in phone menu). The usage of online connection of Spotify is not straightforward and does not use the data plan of my mobile phone, Since then, only been using CarPlay.

    Audi (A7, A6, Q7 and A4 by own experience) does this already since 2011 better, you can have two mobile phones connected at the same time via bluetooth, using one for phone and the other for music; with quick switching via the phone menu if a call comes in on the other phone. Or simply opt for CarPlay, which is also the standard choice now.
