    Pivi pro audio hang up

Finally got to do some serious mileage in the D5 with full family on board.
Lovely drive, very happy on that front

One annoying thing is that music/audio just stops intermittently. It seems to happen with radio or when playing Spotify. All from pivi pro and not from phone. It’s like the audio gets turned off, no sound at all and volume control stops working. If I select a different source, ie switch DAB to fm, or FM to Spotify then it’s fine for another 20 minutes or so.

At first I thought it was just DAB dropping out but seems not related to the source. Very odd.

Possibly a button the wheel mutes everything and I’m accidentally hitting it !?!

Strange hunch is that it could be related to voice control. It seemed to happen only if we were chatting? Maybe it got in a huff that we weren’t listening to it Rolling Eyes

    Any ideas?

That's happened to me a few times. I've been on my own in the car so doubt it's voice control - I'm fairly sure I wasn't talking to myself.

The same thought occurred to me. It did happen once when I was in the car by myself but I could not rule out talking to myself or at least singing badly along .... Shocked

I did a quick scan of Velar and defender forums. I did find one chap reporting the same thing along with a long list of other issues. It sounds like it got fixed with some software upgrades but need to look at that properly when I get some time.

that makes sense, as I've not noticed it happening since a OTA software updated installed.

after about 1 year of this not happening - suddenly it started again. Evil or Very Mad

Audio just turns off intermittently, Mainly on the radio but sometimes also when playing Spotify. The little audio-off icon appears on the screen as if the off button on the volume knob was pressed

Anyone else getting this ? I am beginning to wonder if I have a loose connection somewhere in the car.

Interestingly, mine did this today. I didn't go anywhere near the off button and was using the sat-nav at the time and listening to spotify.

Pressing the power button un-muted it.

It's never done it before but recently got an OTA software update. I wonder if it's a bug in the latest software version?

yea it could be an OTA thing. That would explain why it went away and then came back. Mine's been doing it again for a few weeks but can't recall when the last OTA happened on my car. Possibly around the same time

What s/w version do you have ?

just checked. Mine is also 3.3 and was updated about 3 weeks ago.

That might make sense. It has been roughly that long that it has been happening for but not 100% sure, it could be longer.
