Rear washer
Hi,
Should there be a non-return valve or something on the pump for the rear screen washer? Seems every time I run it for the first time you hear the fluid move through the pipe above the drivers seat and it takes a few goes before the fluid comes out the rear jets?

Funny you should mention this, when I first got my D5 I can't remember a delay on the rear wash, but now I have the same as you. I wondered if there was a valve that has failed.

My rear washer works fine, but you do hear the fluid travelling in the pipe above the driver.

I had the same problem with my 2017 D5. The non-return valve had failed and was replaced under warranty.

From the workshop manual:
REAR WINDOW WASHER JET
The rear window washer jet is fixed into the rear spoiler by plastic clips. The washer
fluid feed hose from the front/rear washer pump is connected to the jet. The washer jet
contains a non-return valve to prevent washer fluid draining back to the reservoir.
Sound like its part of the washer jet itself.

Started to dis-assemble rear trunking/grommets for washer jet thinking perhaps LR078293 might be suitable, everything is incredibly tight and doesn't appear to have any spare tube so gave up. Will have a chat with local stealer as to how its replaced and with what.
