    Wireless phone charger

    Drove a brand new Discovery 5 at the LR off-road experience centre in Devon yesterday. For me the best bits on the ‘facelift’ vehicle are the pivi pro screen and ithe wireless phone charger integrated into the bottom of the centre console.
    Not a lot I can do to upgrade my screen, but I’d really like to get the charger for my 2019 MY vehicle. I’ve seen aftermarket items for LHD vehicles but not RHD.
    Looking at it simply you should in theory be able to buy the part for the new vehicle from LR and fit it to an older one, but this is LR so unlikely to be that easy!
    Has anyone tried this? And if so, did it work and do you have a part number and price from LR?
    Alternatively, has anyone found non-LR part that fits RHD?

    I would also have been interested in this because the aftermarket ones are not that well made or designed

    From what I have seen in pictures, I don't think the newer one one fit in the older D5s, but I haven't seen in it real life so difficult to say.

    I think that it should be possible for you as you have the facelift version and it was only an option that wasn't selected.

    I think that it is more difficult for old "oldies" that don't have the latest version.

    Hi - looks good - how have you wired it in? Or have you just used the 12v socket next to it?

    The kit is complete with an "Y" adapter cable for wired it to the socket connector.

    The socket remain free.

    I'd really like a mat like the one in the link above, but it seems to be LHD only. Does anyone know of a similar product for RHD (google and Amazon have failed me)!
