    Measuring oil level D300 HSE MHEV MY22

    I wasted a lot of time looking for the digital oil level display and it was nowhere to be found.

    I then discovered that this supposedly high tech engine on a top of the range model has a DIPSTICK !!!

    I hate dipsticks. No matter how careful I am with wiping off, the level always seems to be smeared and ambiguous.

    Since the digital oil level display is available in some engines, I'm astonished to find it missing

    I guess I am old school I prefer a dipstick, at least you know there is oil in the engine.

    I'm surprised by this, just had a look in the manual and indeed it says the 2.0L petrol and diesel engines have a dipstick. So I guess it's just the 3.0L petrols which do not... Surprised also, I think it must be like 10+ years since I've had a car with a dipstick...

    I guess at least it's one less electronic part that can fail Laughing

    I only remember to check the oil level about a mili second after pressing the start button. Then it's not available. Sad

    I prefer a dipstick. Sometime you just don’t need to over complicate things and I’ve had both.
