I have just taken delivery of my HSE discovery 5, there are two wifi options under connectivity, one is to connect the car to the internet which I have working fine, the other option it to allow up to 8 devices to connect wirelessly to the car i have enabled this option and when I search for the network get the landrover network name and connect to it, it then asks for a password where do you find this password.
I'm doing this from memory as it's different on my new one, but I think you need to tap on the line of text to the left of the switch to turn it on (to open the settings rather than just turn it on). If I still has my old D5, I'd go and check, but there is definitely a way to show the password on the screen.

Ahh, on the new pivi pro, it's an extra cost option that I didn't see any need for, so I haven't got it. I have unlimited data on my phone plan so just use that.

That's different. Data for use within the car's own PiviPro system is included as standard (including streaming music on Spotify and traffic data etc). WiFi for connecting other devices requires additional hardware which is only fitted if the extra cost option was added when the car was built.
With the extra cost option, you get the WiFi hardware and an initial subscription.
