New brakes all round
50k+ miles and discs looking a bit worn, already had replacement pads so can't grumble. So decided new rotors etc.
Drilled, grooved and ventilated rotors ordered, new front and rear pads, wear sensors, disc retaining bolts and full set wheel nuts.
Front wheel nuts slackened, car jacked up, axle stands, wheels removed, podger into vented disc to prevent rotation and remove torx retaining screw (exceptionally tight) remove caliper and pads, few taps on disc with hide mallet and off comes the old disc, wire brush to clean hub surface and smear of ceramic grease, degreased new disc fitted, new retaing screw, reassemble cleaned and lubed calliper and new pads, fit new sensor, ( requieres arch liner to be partially undone), quick smear of ceramic grease to stud area and wheels back on, front done,
Rear, Activate handbrake service mode and basically a repeat of the front, fitting new sensor is very awkward due to confined access but managed it OK.
New wheel nuts fitted because some of the originals had swollen so socket very tight. Deactivate service mode,
