    D5 SD6 HSE LUX 2018 without Android Auto/Apple CarPlay

    Hi,

    I found a used D5 MY2018 SD6 HSE that I'd like to buy. The only problem if the lack of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so obviously it doesn't have the Smartphone Pack. I read a lot of posts here and on other forums to find out if it was possible to enable this and got conflicting answers. I read somewhere that there are prerequisites in order for this to work, elsewhere I read that this is always possible with a simple software update/unlock. Could someone please clarify thie matter? I'm in a hurry to decide whether to buy the car or not (my old Disco3 is not in perfect shape anymore Wink) and the lack of Android Auto would be a significant drawback in an otherwise almost perfect car.

    EDIT: also, where do you check the version of InControl apps?

    Contact your dealer - this was a free update a few years ago. Should be an open service notice on that.

    I believe InControl Apps was deprecated a long time ago - you won't find very much in either app store on that.

    Your not missing anything if you dont have Incontrol Apps in my opinion. It never worked well on for me.

    I "retrofitted" the smartphone pack" on my HSE MY2018...
