How to get built in Nav to display on instrument panel
MY2022 HSE.
When I connect my iPhone to PiviPro, car play works really well on the main screen. However, it automatically replaces the built in SatNav displayed on the dash with Google maps. Is there any way to make the built in SatNav map stay on the dash rather than Google maps. If I disconnect my phone, it reverts straight away.
Alternatively, is there a way to make Waze appear on the binnacle?

Hmmm. Actually not sure. Once your iPhone is connected, what happens if on the main central dash display (the big screen) you tell it to use the in-built SatNav. Does that stop Google Maps from showing in the binnacle? I haven't tried it, but just wondered...
Have to admit, I use Apple Maps, much prefer it to the Land Rover offering, so quite happy to have my dash screen always showing that.

No, if I use the built in on the main screen, Google maps still displays on the binnacle. (It may actually be Apple maps, I'm not sure).

In which case I draw a blank... Would be nice to see some more flexibility from LR over how and where CarPlay appears/shows. It perhaps might come on a future update, as I doubt you are the only person asking...

A recent PiviPro update included persistence for the Nav preference.
Prior to that update, when connecting CarPlay, nav would switch to Apple Maps. Now mine no longer switches as I use the PiviPro nav and that is remembered.
I'm pretty certain that the only maps which can be displayed on the dashboard are PiviPro (Here & Google Earth) and Apple Maps.
Google Maps or Waze will display on the CarPlay screen only.

I have the latest SW update, and if my iPhone is connected, the binnacle will still only show Apple Maps.

From the home screen on the main Pivi display, go to the Nav tile. From memory, there will be a CarPlay icon with a small arrow. That icon is a pull down menu, from which you can toggle to the PiviPro nav. Once selected, that will be the default nav choice and display in the instrument cluster.

It does indeed change the binnacle display to Pivi sat nav, but it defaults back to Apple Maps the next time you start the car.

That's not the behaviour I experience, and exactly what a previous update was supposed to prevent.
One thought; rather than just viewing the map, have you used the Pivi navigation for routing during the last journey?
