    Changing to higher profile Tyres/wheels

I have bought a 2017 discovery HSE 3.0 tdv6 to take the work load off our aging disocvery 3. I love the newer truck but the one thing I notice is the ride is a bit harsher than the disco 3 which runs on 19 inch general grabbers where as the newer one runs on 275/45 r21 perelli all season tyres.
I keep looking at second wheels online but am not sure at what sizes to go for that will fit over the discs.
At some point my disco 3 will die and I will need all terain tyres as well on the disco 5 for farm work but currently it does 90% on road so the all season tyre is probably the best option but just want more comfort and so any suggestions on suitable tyre will sizes to look for

Assuming you plan to change wheels, 255/55R20 General Grabber AT3 are a good choice and a standard size for the D5.

20" Defender rims definitely work, and are quite often available at a good price. Not sure if 19" options might work with the 2017 brake size?

There are a few threads here discussing wheels and tyres that might help.

I bought a 4 set of complete 20” wheels with new pirelli tyres on eBay for around £1000 from a company at South Creake, Norfolk. They are reasonably local to me so I collected them. They had a warehouse full of wheels!!

They told me that when customers specify non standard wheels on a new car, the car comes with standard wheels, the special wheels come separate. Then they are swopped over and the dealers offload the standard wheels to them. My wheels and tyres were brand new and unmarked.

Worth searching eBay for their adverts and contacting them if they aren’t advertising what you want….they may have it.

    Hi Chris,

I ended up getting a full set of 5 x 275/55/R20 with General Grabber AT3 from a website called noroadclub. Had them on within 48 hours of ordered.

Not standard spec but emailed Chris and got it sorted wanted the extra side wall to protect the rims a bit fit and look lovely on the car.

I'll try get some pics tomorrow of how they look.
