InControl has been asleep since I purchased the car back in February. I finally got an appointment today at the dealership, they told me that it’s because I haven’t extended “Protect” and “Remote Premium”. I don’t agree with this, it should still connect to the car even if I haven’t yet extended these services, apparently the service advisor in charge of InControl was out today and will be back tomorrow and will call me.
In any case, there’s nowhere in the app or online where it will let me extend it.
I’ve tried resetting the TCU inside the car manually to no avail so I expect the TCU or battery for the TCU needs replacing. Screenshots attached of the view in Land Rover Remote app.
Anyone with experience that can confirm my theory?
I thought it would at least show as connected to the vehicle, rather than asleep even without the subscription activated. Next problem is I can’t purchase the subscription from the app or web portal.
Will see what the dealer says tomorrow.
