Yes I know I am new here but over from Full Fat, Disco 4 and Defender net. What is the small silver bar that runs across the top of the engine rear to front with a lever arm latch covered in consult handbook stickers which I have and searched on here.
If i was to guess I am suspecting auto into neutral so pulling it on a sloping drive poss not a good idea.
Before I kill myself what is it please >??

It would help to know which engine you're asking about and a photo would be even better. But, yes, it's probably the gearbox park release you're describing.

Now you have sent. Me off on a path and re phrased the question to Google yes it is the gearbox neutral release, as I said not a good thing to pull on a sloping driveway but happy I have found it.
Ok where is the hand brake release assuming under the cup holders as before ??
