Hey all. You guys have probably found this also just wondering what or how you get around it. The D5 wanted some adblue so instead of being ripped off by Land Rover I got a 10L bottle. Now with the D4 all I did was up end the bottle and let gravity work. But this D5 no chance would it let me do that. Had to dribble it in.
Also, don't overfill it. Only put in as much as it asks for. If it is overfilled, the sensor can't detect the level properly and tells the computer that the tank is empty, then you can't start the car.

When you buy Adblue in bigger containers for home DIY topping up...I have a couple of 10L containers in the garage...remember to store them out of direct sunlight. It's fussy stuff, likes to be kept cold and dark.
I also have a couple of empty 1L top up bottles with the sealer type neck so I can use like a funnel topping them up from the 10L containers as needed and squeeze it into the Adblue filler on the D5...saves the painful process of using a funnel and trickling it in
I store my Adblue in one of these...even though it has a spout it's still easier using the 1L or 2L push on sealer type bottles you can buy from almost any filling station forecourt than lifting a heavy 10L can to top up the D5. Just keep the empty bottles, cut the bottom off so you can just up end them and click them onto the D5's filler then just top up the bottles from the cut off bottom, the neck of them seals onto the filler so there's no over spill when it burps back.

I'd love to be able to Ajay...except I live on a small rock in the middle of the north sea with 1 garage and a couple of fairly ancient fuel pumps. It's the only way I can buy Adblue, have it shipped onto the island in containers
Good advice for everyone else though, top marks for that

It's on the centre dash vehicle information screen via the steering wheel selector alongside the oilchange/service interval...it doesn't show Adblue by volume, only the mileage left until you need to top it up which isn't that helpful.
There's also a centre dash warning that appears when it gets down to 500 miles worth of Adblue remaining.
Tom if you pop the bonnet and on the passenger side there will be a black plastic cap just by the wing that says adblue. If you haven’t got that then surely no adblue. Only had this 2 weeks now so just learning about it
