Adjustable armrest question
Good morning, I have recently purchased a D5 having previously owned a D3 & D4, on the 3 and 4 you could adjust the armrest up and down giving plenty of options, however on both seats on the D5 even with the adjustment at the max height the armrests are still too low.
Is there a fix for this or is it just a D5 feature?
Thanks
Ian

dont think so, my missus has the armrest on her side pointing up quite high, so as far as I can see certainly no different to what was on my old D4

Mine is as you describe. When the arm rest as at approx horizontal, I cannot lock it any higher. I can Raise it, but not lock it at the height.

so when you wind the knob at the end of the armrest are you saying that your armrest wont go any higher than horizontal? Mine certainly does.

If I wind the knob until it locks, it blocks at horizontal.
It is like this on both front seats, so I don't think that it is a faulty seat.
Mine is a 2017 model, so maybe it is year specific.

My 2017 keeps going until they are pointing up in the air!
What angle do you have the seat base at?

Maybe it’s dependant on what you have regarding the pitch of the seat? Laid back, arm rest in the air, bolt upright, 90 degrees?

Hi - Can I resurrect this thread pls.
Drivers armrest top/highest adjustment is less than horizontal, adjusts down nearly to the floor.!
I had the car in for a service and asked the dealer - they just put it through as a warranty claim, fitted a whole new armrest - which is exactly the same.
Any thoughts on whether it’s fitted wrong or can be adjusted to go higher?
I noted a you tube video from Powerful, fitting upgraded end-knobs - pointless but it shows taking the armrest apart, well, the front end.
Sure they must go higher - they aren’t even close to the top of the centre console

Mine adjust all the way up past the 90° on both drivers and passenger seats. For some reason, I suspect that someone has removed the adjusting rods from your armrests and just put them back on wrong...perhaps the adjustment was raised before they were removed and then the adjusters have been reinstalled with the armrests at at 90° which would perhaps explain why there's no vertical height adjustment.
The adjusters themselves would be my candidate for the issue if they've been replaced or removed for any reason...although I haven't tried taking mine to bits (yet) to see how they work...

Same on my new one, the maximum up adjustment seems to be much less than it was on my '19 one.
It's just a smidge too low for my liking, below the level of the centre console.
