Sold ‘em on the forum, would make fortune

Nearest IKEA is in Inbhir Nis...but you probably knew that already... I thought at least you'd be a bit more sympathetic to a poor islanders plight
I thought of Kirkwall, someone there will have some on a shelf...but even that's still 3 hours away on a ferry

Yes, but it’s not going to be a proper shop, just a pick up point in Tesco by the roundabout from Hell. 🤣

They haven't arrived yet Zig...being way up here adds a few days to postage and shipping times. I'll let you know when they arrive

Looks like I need some short ones then……

The long ones are less of a fiddle to get clipped shut, so if you use the 3rd row seats a bit...less faffing about. The short ones though...they kinda look like they're meant to be there
The only time I raise the 3rd row seats is to give them a clean and hoover every now and then...

Could somebody just remind the uneducated amongst us exactly what this crisp bag mod actually does, coz I’m currently utterly confused………..nothing new admittedly.🙄

All the crisp bag clip mod does is hold the 3rd row seatbelts securely in the useless LR clips by pushing down on the belt buckle so they don't keep slipping out or catching on the load cover every time you open or close it.
I've seen all sorts of mods for the same thing...giant paper clips, selotape or black electrical tape wrapped round the belts...they're as varied as mods go but most folk have tried one or more of them. I opted on the crisp bag clips...like PRH did.
I chose the bag clips mainly because it doesn't prevent the seatbelt operating when an MOT tester goes to check the rear belts, it's temporary, you can just unclip them for the MOT...where as wrapping the belts in masking/electrical tape could be classed as impairing their operation and may
possibly fail an MOT on safety grounds or at least warrant an advisory

One thing I have just noticed is that I let the seat belt buckles drop to the load space floor, rather than have the buckles resting on the seat belt retaining bracket (the one that the belt tend to slip out of when the load space cover is pulled out or retracted) as shown in the photos others have posted.
Not sure why others don't do the same as it would mean that the seat belt is less likely to be knocked out of the retaining bracket when disturbed by the load space cover.
As I understand it, located just above the seat belt retaining bracket, the clip clips the belt that comes up from the load space floor to the belt as it goes down to the inertial reel.

It's all about that loadspace cover catching on the belts when opening or closing it. That's the only and entire reason behind the crisp bag clip mod...believe me, I've tried everything else except removing the 3rd row seatblets completely.
Being that the 3rd row belts are original equipment specification for the vehicle, not having them fitted would then fail an MOT...or a safety, must rectify advisory that they had been removed.
Some MOT stations are more lenient than others
