Incontrol secure (think ts now called protect) is an additional subscription based service which monitors the cars location. if it is stolen it notifies you and (i think) the fuzz. This is separate to incontrol remote and remote premium which allow remote monitoring of the cars status such as fuel levels, remote heating door locking etc plus also the add on of route planning, live traffic monitoring, route logging etc. I can sit in the house and use the LR route planner app to sort out my journey. When i get in the car it talks to the phone and knows wher I want to go etc.
I have purchased a 25GD SIM from three valid for 24 months. Cost £34. Popped it into the sim slot in the cubby allowing satellite view and street view on the sat nav plus also (if I turn it on) my car becomes a local hot spot for occupants.
All said I’m actually impressed with the Connectivity, functions and ease of all this.

REMOTE PREMIUM
Land Rover Remote Premium upgrades you from the Remote Essential Smartphone App with a set of features which allow you to remotely interact with your vehicle. The Remote Essential Smartphone App lets you prepare for a trip by checking fuel levels and range remotely. You can find your vehicle in a crowded car park and check if you have left doors or windows open. You can also download your journeys to assist in claiming business mileage expenses.
The SOS Emergency Call will bring the emergency services to the exact location of the vehicle and in the unlikely event of a breakdown, the Optimised Land Rover Assistance will use GPS and vehicle health information to minimise delay.

PRO SERVICES
Land Rover Pro Services adds a suite of connectivity features to your infotainment system including Live and an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot. Connectivity for these is provided by a SIM card which is inserted in the SIM card slot in your vehicle. Please see your vehicle handbook for more information.
