Aye, when you isolate the FBH from the receiver by pulling the fuse or unplugging it, then plug it back in, the receiver searches for a signal over a particular frequency range...when you press the off button on the remote fob during the pairing process, the receiver on the car picks up the signal and recognises it, pairing it to the new fob's frequency.
The frequency might only vary 0.01Mhz between different fobs, just enough so your next door neighbour with his peasant farmer's full fat Range Rover doesn't inadvertently fire up the FBH on your middle class Disco 5 on a cold and wintry morning.
There's a naughty trick you used to be able to do with the old style Sky HD box replacement remotes you could buy from Currys or Argos etc, where you could stand on the pavement outside your neighbours front window, pair the remote to their box and start turning their TV volume up and down or changing channels...drives folk mental and they think their TV is possessed.
When I was much younger and we lived in army married quarters...the Sky van was parked outside our irritating next door neighbour's house at least twice a week.
He had the grave misfortune of being a Sergeant Major in the Military Police who, when chatting over the garden fence with a cup of tea as one does to be neighbourly, mentioned his dislike of our regiment at every opportunity. I remember the phrase 'Indisciplined, self entitled hooligans' being thrown about more than once

Well I’ve checked voltage is still at the Fbh and I’ve tried reprogramming the fob and I’m getting nothing
The cars booked in to get the screen wash bottle sorted, lower steering joint ,stop/start and the timed climate / Fbh looked at. Let’s see come Friday what they find -

This morning I walked out to find the car Fbh was running at 7:35
The cars timed climate was set for 8:00
So ????
I’m chuffed it works so the garage on there checks must have deleted or done something
But the only thing is is when the timed climate is set is it the time your leaving or when you want it to start

You're supposed to set the time you intend to start your journey......but LR logic prevails as usual.
The FBH will run for up to 30 minutes but only in arctic conditions. In the UK it usually only runs for 20 minutes but despite this, the timer will start it 30 minutes before the set time, so it's best to set it for 10 minutes AFTER you intend to leave.

I’ve now changed the times climate to 8:30 when my wife leaves the house
I tried connecting the remote again… no joy but I did notice when sat in the car and requesting on the app pressing the fan I could hear a relay click then I’d get this message
But the cars timed climate is working
It makes me think more about that fault Code

Right , today I used the app to start the Fbh but it’s not the same drop down menu as moles
On the photo you can see the small fan on the first page, I clicked that then it showed me this option
Once I pressed start it then initiates and then told me at started Hu Ra
Next step will to try pairing the remote -

No it’s definitely the Fbh
For me to start the engine I have to click remote
Then climate to show this

I noticed you've got 1 more icon on the main page of the app than I have, the one on the left next to the little fan icon.
What is it and why haven't I got one?
