It’s draw is tiny. I can’t give you an actual figure but it’s only powering a tiny Bluetooth unit with transmits the battery data to your phone or iPad.
I’ve used mine on a few vehicles and it seems very good.

I love the idea of this but I will just hold off for now because a little bird has told me it's going to be added onto the control app very soon Whistle

Very nice...as long as it's not just the iOS version of the Remote app that gets the nice update. Us poor peasants with Android phones are still running 5 updates and several important features behind the version currently available on the iPhone.

Mrs Mole is complaining that I keep nicking her iPad to use the Remote app...and my IID tool. Rolling Eyes

That would imply there’s already a Bluetooth device installed, would it not?
Why can’t my phone see it if there is?

Live battery monitoring is available on the D5 through an OBD2 scanner, not just the IID tool but many other generic diagnostic scanners like the iCarsoft CR 3.0, CR Pro Plus or CR Max, most mid range Launch scanners... and even the Autel Maxicom I use in the workshop for family cars of all makes (as well as the Bling Barge)...so the battery monitoring data is already available direct from the ECU's ...the Battery Monitoring System specifically.

Since the Remote app bi-directionally interfaces with the car's ECU's and already monitors things like tyre pressures, oil and coolant levels, Adblue levels, DPF function etc, etc...there's no reason it can't also display live battery monitoring data...

The InControl Remote app could be a very powerful and useful tool with highly desirable VIN locked information and functions currently only available via plug-in OBD2 scanners if only JLR would truly get behind it as a product and invest more in it's development...
