It’s draw is tiny. I can’t give you an actual figure but it’s only powering a tiny Bluetooth unit with transmits the battery data to your phone or iPad.
I’ve used mine on a few vehicles and it seems very good.
Very nice...as long as it's not just the iOS version of the Remote app that gets the nice update. Us poor peasants with Android phones are still running 5 updates and several important features behind the version currently available on the iPhone.
Mrs Mole is complaining that I keep nicking her iPad to use the Remote app...and my IID tool.
Live battery monitoring is available on the D5 through an OBD2 scanner, not just the IID tool but many other generic diagnostic scanners like the iCarsoft CR 3.0, CR Pro Plus or CR Max, most mid range Launch scanners... and even the Autel Maxicom I use in the workshop for family cars of all makes (as well as the Bling Barge)...so the battery monitoring data is already available direct from the ECU's ...the Battery Monitoring System specifically.
Since the Remote app bi-directionally interfaces with the car's ECU's and already monitors things like tyre pressures, oil and coolant levels, Adblue levels, DPF function etc, etc...there's no reason it can't also display live battery monitoring data...
The InControl Remote app could be a very powerful and useful tool with highly desirable VIN locked information and functions currently only available via plug-in OBD2 scanners if only JLR would truly get behind it as a product and invest more in it's development...

I didn't realise that the 2 platforms show different options
I love my android
I’ve got myself some black lettering for the tailgate but the spacing is wider than original so that’ll require a coat of looking at during weekends install. I’m gonna finally fit the black number plate plinth at the same time too as the weather looks favourable for a couple of days so if it holds out the rear bumper will be getting the rattle can treatment too in the back garden spray shop.🤔
I'm still waiting in vain for some nice weather to stick my bonnet vinyl on...the very phrase or the thought of 'nice winter days' doesn't really exist up here unfortunately
Workshop is full again since I'm helping a mate weld the chassis on his old Defender and my son's BMW X3 is taking up space until I get the brakes done...
Finally got around to black packing part of the back end. Started with the lettering which had a different spacing ( wider ) to the original so had to rig up a template to the old lettering, swing that out of the way, remove the old lettering, clean the area + polish the paint before swinging the template back and individually fitting the black letters.
Here’s the making of the re-jigged template:
And here’s the black letting going on:
I fitted the black tailgate insert too and that really complements the lettering.
Loving that. Black packing the back end makes such a difference. So glad I never had to fit new lettering on the Bling Barge though, I had a hard enough time just getting my little HSE badge on after fitting the rear number plate surround...so much so it's still squint
I'll pull both the black/silver LR oval and the HSE badges off again at some point and stick them on straight this time. Job for the new year.
I got a free black/silver oval when I bought the dynamic style front grille, there was a choice if I wanted a green oval or a black/silver one which saved me prising the original green one off the old grille.
I bought the rear oval from EBay to go with the black number plate trim to replace the original green oval that was on there. The little HSE badge was already black/silver...but strangely enough, although the front and rear ovals were green, the 2 small ovals on the C pillars are already black/silver so perhaps part of the colour scheme of Fuji white/black or perhaps one of the previous owners changed them over...
