I used the icarsoft to code the battery when i fitted it, but up to date the stop start hasn't worked since the battery change. Not that i want it to, but something in the back of my mind was saying it hadn't coded right. I had also got an ecu and seat control unit fault code showing, and neither would clear, although everything was working perfectly. So today i connected the icarsoft back up, and coded the battery again. This time it took longer and did a count down. I did a scan after and no codes in any of the systems, so fingers crossed it has worked this time.
Yeah, I'm quite impressed by the level of support the iCarsoft tools have for the D5. My son bought a CR Max a few months ago that he's never used, so I fired it up on the Bling Barge the other day to see what it did and didn't do...very impressed by what it offered by way of DTC fault finding and service functions
Seemingly, the Bling Barge has developed a Quiescent current control module component failure since the last time I checked the DTC's with the IID tool... the CR Max picked it up. I'll have to investigate that a bit further since being a component failure, it's not clearable...and it's only appeared since I changed the battery
I'll palm him off with my Autel Maxicom I think and have that CR Max in the garage

I got the cr pro +, It won't read my chassis number to find the car. So i have to find land rover discovery 2017 on, then it comes up with the variants, (petrol, diesel ect), i have to select diesel hybrid. Then it finds my chassis number. Seems strange that i have to select diesel hybrid.
Yeah, I had to select 'Land Rover' from the huge list of car manufacturers then select 'auto-read VIN' on the CR Max to get it to identify the Bling Barge....Once it had done that though, it was fine.
I suppose it's a small price to pay through using a multi-car generic OBD2 scanner though...it's still an extremely proficient professional level tool at the end of the day by way of functionality...especially on a Land Rover.

Yes other than that it seems fine, and it will read other cars too, except for my sons 95 4.0 wrangler. That's
obd 1, but we can get ignition light flash codes for that. Easier to work on than the disco though.
After looking up the quiescent current control module fault code or component failure...I found this online...
Quote:
The quiescent current control module fault, indicated by the code B1412-96, typically relates to an internal failure within the module, which may not affect vehicle performance. It's often recommended to ignore this code if no other issues are present, as it may be a false log due to software updates.
The Bling Barge is working fine...with the usual heated headlamp washer and windscreen demister DTC's that have always been present, even with the IID tool. So I'll probably just ignore it

Yup, I only noticed it since I changed the battery and reset the Battery Management System with the IID tool to recognise the battery change... the quiescent current control module issue is probably tied in with the BMS reset for some totally obscure reason...
