I’ve just had my N877 security update. (See separate thread)
I have noticed an improvement in the cars performance. The car seems more………….alert/responsive!
There are also a couple of visual changes …for one, the projection of the disco profile image in the mirror approach spotlight…which I didn’t have before! ( I am sure of this and the wife, who never misses anything and is never wrong, confirms this! lol)
Which makes me wonder if ALONG WITH the security update they have carried out other routine software updates that MY vehicle may have missed, having been serviced at an Indie LandRover garage for several years, rather than a dealership?
Is that possible?
While visiting the much revamped dealership after several years separation I was impressed with them. More responsive, more engaging, more helpful! They even discussed THEIR methods in identifying and correcting leaking windscreens compared to my own attempts. They confessed it’s been plaguing them with earlier models but were adamant that newer models are nowhere near as prone to this fault….they have seen few such issues from 2023 onwards. I was moved to believe they believed that to be true.
They even said that I should talk to ‘Martin’ at the local windscreen replacement company they use.
“A helpful approachable guy, who’s vastly experienced having fixed all our leaks”.
Off to chat to Martin next week.
Who knows, I may end up keeping this now more ‘alert’ beast if it stops dribbling on me.
