Bonnet cable stretched - warranty cover?
Hi
Anyone had the stretched bonnet cable issue fixed under extended LR warranty?
Cheers

Did you get this sorted? I think mine has similar issue. Only the LHS of the hood latch is unlocking.

Hi yes, MD (Listers droitwich) replaced the whole cable under extended warranty. no quibbles at all.
Try WD40 on the lock first. Also if it is stuck you can repeatedly thump the front of the bonnet whilst someone pulls the latch - that frees a stuck bonnet in an emergency.

I routinely grease both bonnet latches, at least once a year...since when I first got the Bling Barge, both mine were a bit stiff and I could feel the cable stretching a bit from the lever when I popped the bonnet. I lubricated the latches with a mix of WD40 and 3 in one oil then slapped a bit of silcone grease on both the bonnet hoops and the locating latches.
It's worth the effort in slapping a bit of grease on those latches every now and then, especially if you feel any resistance on the bonnet release lever...saves the cable eventually stretching and needing to replace it.
