Window issue, only moves about an inch at a time
Hoping someone can help shed some light on a fault thats just developed on my MY19.
Replaced the drivers window regulator about 5 months ago (and since then all the other 3), straight forward job and all had been well since until yesterday when pressing the down button the window only moves about an inch and a relay clicking (single time on, window moves and inch, then single click off sound) from the door area.
Stripped off the door card again and then removed the control module and sensor, giving them a c=good clean and used contact cleaner on the pins to ensure they're all good Did the same with the motor connector as well, plus the main door card connector. Alas, no different.
Have tried battery reset (disconnect battery, wait, reconnect and reset all windows) but again the same issue persists. It'll move down about an inch and stop, and keep pressing down will keep the window moving down. Same with the up, lift the switch and the window will move upwards about an inch and stop, keep lifting the switch and the window will keep lifting.
Engine running, no power issues. No broken wires noted. No blockages on the tracks.

Sounds like the windows just need recalibrating...hold the window switch in the up position for 3-5 secs once the windows are fully raised. Each separate window has to be calibrated this way...but you can do them all from the drivers door switch panel.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did go through that after battery disconnect - recalibrate windows, roof and tailgate. No difference sadly.
I’ve got it booked for tomorrow for diagnostic, see if that throws up anything helpful

I have the same issue for the last couple of months - stripped it all down myself last weekend, I have concluded its the swithc, or there is a module in the door which may be the cause. Also just happened, rear windows went down and wont go back up - How did yours get fixed?

I did the same, stripped the mechanism down and also stripped down the door control module, all to no avail. In the end after diagnostics it showed that the motor was out of normal operating range on it's voltage so had to be replaced - easier to replace the entire regulator than just the motor plus it was under warranty from when I'd changed it earlier in the year. All been fine since.

Regulators are cheap on eBay...fitted 2 regulators (one front, one rear) on the Bling Barge due to broken cables and can recommend these from this UK company based in Yorkshire, they're excellent quality...they also come with pre-greased cables and a free pair of work gloves. Out of the 2 regulators I've replaced (so far) the front was a LR OE one and the rear was from eBay...to be honest, the £70 eBay one was better quality than the £240 OE one.
For the price, I bought replacements for the 2 regulators that haven't broken yet...just in case.

new regulator from ebay fitted, all working. I was shocked with the condition of the one i took out, considering it was 2 yrs old!

Yeah, they don't grease the cables in the factory when the cars are assembled...so the cables rust and eventually snap. I've replaced 2 of mine in the 15 months I've owned the car, even though the Bling Barge is now 9 years old...I've got a couple of those eBay regulators on the shelf for when the other 2 eventually go. A lot better than having a window jammed up with a piece of wood for a week waiting for replacements to arrive. The post is a wee bit slow up here in the north sea.
It might be worthwhile checking the cables on the other 3 regulators for signs of rust...just spray them with some lithium grease if they look serviceable.

I'm gonna have to do the offside rear soon.
Has anyone found a "how to" or video to show it being done?

I posted this up as a how-to last year (now hidden away a few pages back under the faults and fixes section). It's a front driver's door regulator being changed but the process is exactly the same on the rear doors...having done one of each myself, NS front and OS rear.
I wish I could make sticky posts for all those how-to videos I keep finding around the web...would make it far easier for folks to come across on here.
