    Sudden loss of Power and running rough

    My son was driving our 2017 TDv6 when all of a sudden it lost power and started running rough. No lights have come on dash but it doesn't have enough power to move itself, it did however have enough power to tick over for 30 mins while we towed it home and still starts and ticks over with no smoke or blowing through the oil filler cap.
    I obviosly fear a snap crank but would of thought it would of seized if that had happened or at the least sysmptons would progressively get worse where as it has got no better or worse over 30 mins of tick over.
    Any ideas as to what it might be before |I get it booked in ?

    Fpund the issue now it's daylight. The timing pulley has split on the right hand bank. Not great but hopefully a lot more fixable than a crank !
