    rear seats

Hi all this is my first post we have a HSE with a annoying clicking noise every time you pull away. Think i have tracked it down to the nearside 2nd row seat as this can make the same noise.

if the seat back is moved forward then fold it back to the upright position if the up switch is pressed again on the rear of the seat the same noise can be heard if you do the same to the drivers rear seat it seems to switch the up button off as if there is a back rest upright position sensor.

if anyone can shed any light on this fault i would be grateful

    many thanks

    phil

If it's sort of a "clunk" every time you accelerate to 6mph, then it's the seat locking mechanism and a "recalibration" of the seats is needed.

Recalibration is easy but it requires a diagnostic tool to run the procedure.

Just had the exact same problem after getting the N877 security update.

    https://disco5.co.uk/forum/thread4395.html

The fault in my case was the front passenger seat losing calibration……causing the 2nd row seat not to lock cleanly and behave randomly. Needed calibration at dealer as my Indie couldn’t access the seat module!

My stance was it had been pre diagnosed and they shouldn’t charge for what was in essence a “second opinion”. I didn’t object to paying for fixing it ….because it was, to some extent, at that time still conjecture that their software update caused it. But the evidence continues to support that view.

I paid half the diagnostic price in the end. Good luck.
