I know, first world problem, but it sounds like I have something loose in my right hand dash centre vent. It is almost as though there is a bit of sellotape in there that flaps around when the fan is on. If I close that vent, the noise drops noticeably. It's not really loud, but it is noticeable. Anyone ever had anything similar?
I'm beginning to think that my D5 may have been constructed using sellotape!
When I'm not in the operating theatre, I'm mountain biking, spending time with my family, running and socialising. I have a Discovery 5 HSE Lux with pretty much every option ticked. This is my first ever Land Rover. Been a rocky road with regards to reliability but we're getting there.
Well having purchased two new cars this year I have experienced the difference first hand. Very impressed with the Macan and the dealer. We had a Q5 before and the dealer was OK, not streets ahead of the LR dealer but Porsche is a world apart.

Ken you're obviously close to the manufacturer. What do they actually think about their dealers? Are they embarrassed?

I've just received a letter from my dealer saying I will be receiving a questionnaire from Land rover. It then goes onto say that if I don't feel I can score them 10/10 I should contact them first and they will tell me where I have gone wrong.
I did have issue's i.e. late delivery and no information given, now the dealer says they were not given any so couldn't pass it on. So whilst land rover were to blame I can only critique my dealer. Which could result in unfair criticism.

Craig, a courtesy email or call only takes 2 mins mate, just too say they have not heard from the factory. Plus puts your mind at ease as at least your getting acknowledged. It's frustrating as we don't have a crystal ball and anticipating when delivery will be can be extremely annoying. I got an email about their survey a few days back. Judging by what's happened in the last week and the appalling way that I have been treated they will be lucky too get a big fat 0 if that

I don't have the noise but as I was pulling into the underground car park in the sunlight, I noticed a strange reflection at the base of the windscreen which may perhaps explain the noise you have. it would seem to to be some sort of packaging or insulation that should have been removed or 'tidied up', hasn't been. I've attached picture of said reflection and wonder if anyone else has the same? Stu
