The UK JLR website lists fuel economy for all three D5 engines.

2.0L diesel, urban 36.2, combined 43.5 and extra urban 48.7
3.0L diesel, urban 34.0, combined 39.2 and extra urban 43.5
3.0L petrol, urban 19.9, combined 26.0 and extra urban 30.4

Once engine is run in, are any members getting near the advertised mpg?

United States hasn't published mpg yet. I don't know why. Seems all we have to do is adjust for our gallon compared to imperial gallon. In other words, divide above numbers by 1.2.

I've not done a proper calculation but car is reading 31mpg at the moment and on my last long run it said 41.2, even allowing for a generous over read that's still mid 30s. I don't think it's too far away from the official figures but as I say I haven't done a brim to brim calculation.

    I should add mines the 3.0 TD6

Don't ever expect to get the UK Govt official figures - they are obtained by totally unrealistic laboratory tests with all the shut lines sealed in conditions basically devised by the car makers to suit their ends and rubber stamped by the UK Govt. There is a campaign running in the UK that the tests should be "real" life testing and not carried out in a lab. Land Rover used to to give fairly realistic figures that I could quite easily obtain but these days even a granny would struggle to obtain the "Official" test figures.

Have a D5 2.0 HSE which has done 2400 miles and I cannot get 40mpg on a long run even driving with scrooges right foot. My max is 39 on the motorway at 65-75 mph.

Round town I can get 36 or 37mpg on the computer.

Has anyone managed to get 45 or so from a long run on the 2.0L?

Gosh. You all doing something I'm not. 3000 miles now and average of 25mpg over that distance. Mixture of long and short journeys. 3.0 diesel.

Will be submitting a Road trip app full check after 3000 miles but looks promising

Early days as I only picked up my HSE TD6 yesterday! but two half hour mostly motorway in and around Montreal returned 7.4l/100km, which is about 38 mpg (real gallons) it would be 31 mpg in US mini gallons
