    Made initial order six months ago

    Not heard anything official from Land Rover yet. Was told that I would probably get a list of specifications colours etc some time prior to release but as said so far nothing coming through.

    Looking forward to getting my new D5 in October. it will be our seventh Disco, first was a D2. They've been great though it'll be the grandkids in the back seats this time around.

    Good evening all,

    My name is Malcolm from Aberdeen and I am due to pick up my new D5 SE this Wednesday. Since 1990, I have had all of the Discovery models, my last two being D4's. I have also had a 110, 2 x 90's and 2 x RR's.
    Clearly, I have a passion for LR models, with or without their problems along the way !!. I have never found any other manufacturer that comes close really to LR products.

    I look forward to any information and advice regarding the D5 from members who already have them

    Hi all - new Disco 5 owner in God's Country, otherwise known as Colorado, US of A. My first Land Rover, heavily subsidized by the generous court-ordered buyback of my beloved 2010 Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 TDI. Have loved the idea of a Land Rover Discovery for some time, and was --><-- this close to purchasing a used 1997 Defender in 2001, but chose an Audi instead. Took me this long to get back around to the brand, and I absolutely love this thing.

    It's my daily driver, and it will be lovingly used to its fullest capability, likely acquiring some "character" along the way. Barring any revelations of similar shenanigans to VW, I plan on keeping it for a very long time.

    The VW Touareg online community was active, helpful, and enjoyable - and I hope this community proves to be similar.

    Soon to be owner

    Not a D5 owner just yet, but might soon be. The D4 is now over 6 years old and while it has been faultless I fancy something new. I looked at a RR Sport but I don't think 3 retrievers fit in the back, so D5 has the vote.
