Looking at the options with my leasing company the models have changed a bit. HSE seems to have gained a few things previously on HSE Lux and a few changes to packs. Not showing on LR website yet. Anyone got any details?

Thanks Jimbg, that's the one.
I think this is basically an admission of a major design flaw by JLR, but perhaps worse, a conspiracy to use a throwaway clause in their marketing literature, namely that the service interval (really the period between oil changes) will change depending on driving style, to avoid any responsibility for the subsequent cost of more frequent oil changes. I am seriously considering cancelling my order, even though it comes out of build this month.
Sorry cannot get that link to work or show anything, anyone able to copy and paste what the issues are as my car is in today and if there is an issue would like it checked whilst in there.

Interesting as a number of us have had the service warning light come on around 3000 miles, mine went back to the dealers and they re-set it stating it had been missed on PDI

It is hard to see how LR can apply a fix without redesigning the regeneration process. The pdf document referred to above, JLRP00100, states that the duration of the regeneration cycle is longer than for other diesels, and the amount of diesel injected into the cylinder to create the regeneration burn is 'much' higher than for other diesels they sell.
All the time the engine is operating with any more than a nominal amount of diesel in the sump the engine is potentially suffering long term damage as the oil is not doing its job of lubricating the moving components. So its not just the cost of oil changes every 5/6,000 miles, its also the possibility of premature engine failure.
