Are you still running 21’s
How are they?
I am looking at winter tyres, seems cheaper to get 21’s

Hi J77
I see on an earlier post you said you easily synced the new TPMS on your new 21" wheels, what did you do?. I got genuine LR 22" wheels already fitted with TPMS to replace my 19" and followed the instructions to sync but no joy, they will not sync and still show a TPMS fault warning on the dash. Local JLR dealer said they would have to pop the tyres off each rim to get the code off each TPS, then recode to the vehicle. Wanted £300+ for the privilege 😤

I bought 4 new genuine LR ones from eBay, already set to auto, £70.
my 19” rims still have the TPMS valves on. Also I believe they have to be 17MY onwards or they won’t work, not 100% certain on that though.

Hmm, 🤔, my wheels are 2017 MY, I've not heard anything about TPS already set to auto, think I need to speak to an independent guy as the manual says the system has a self learn function which seems sensible.

The ones I bought were all ready programmed to auto learn, so it said in the description. My D4 I could swap wheels as and when I pleased and the car would pick them up, the D5 doesn’t seem to do that.
Some info from another thread

Yes, the reason is the TPMS sensors apparently work different in a D5 compared to a D4. In a D4 you simply swap wheels at leisure and the car automatically detects the sensors. However in a D5 the individual sensors are coded to the car. So at the moment my 'off road' set of wheels are in my workshop awaiting the outer beads to be 'popped' so I can record the numeric code of each sensor. I can then re fit the wheels/tyres inform the dealer of said codes who will code them to the car.

Aha! same solution as the dealer said in my earlier post. But not at £300+ just for a nice to have. I'll have a look on eBay like you did and see if I can find some TPMS sensors with auto function.
Thanks very much for the info.
