    N111 - Deployable Tow Bar Update & Switch

    Heard some reports of tow bars folding in mid journey plus on a few snapping. Hope this sorts some of the issues out.
    Had no trouble with mine so far and use it for all sorts towing wise.[img] Booked in for next week so will see what they actually do. Probably a cover over the boot switch for half of it.

    It is a software update for the module and a small bezel that surrounds the switch and is stuck on

    I can't see a bezel lasting very long with a full boot, it needs a recessed or relocated switch if it's a problem IMO

    I posted this 4 months ago. They must have read my post. Laughing

    We set off on holiday the other day towing the caravan. Every time we made a right turn we got a bong sound from the system I had a rough idea what it was as so stopped to check. It was the lounger seats in the boot kept pressing the towbar deploy/retract button. Thank goodness it didn't try to retract. I don't think those button are in a good place too easily knocked.

    I’m sure I’ve seen a picture on here somewhere of what they fit to the boot switch when carrying out the N111 mod? Anyone help me out? Need a pic to show my dealer as I’m pretty sure they have not carried it out..

    Here you go, just had mine done this week. Before the fix the panel was completely flush like the switch above.

    I am pretty sure they also upgrade the software on the tow-bar control module as well from memory, I know on mine they did an upgrade when I had pretty much everything upgraded in the summer.

    Yes, sw was upgraded, bow you can only deploy and recall the tow bar when stationary..
    When I first got my car, you could deploy whist on the move
