    Joining the fold

Hi chaps ...unexpectedly joining the fold with a 2018MY Fuji HSE 2.0 landing late March\early April.

Despite previous minor grumbles including whether the rear end was right ...I'm now in the 'ICNGAF about that' zone Laughing . It's a stunning motor in so many ways and I'm looking forward to it very much Thumbs Up

Welcome DG. Happy to see you’ve caught the D5 bug Thumbs Up

The rear end is ok. And to be honest you’ll never look at it while enjoying the drive.

Oh and the 2L Ingenium is great.

Thanks John & Simon ...great to hear from you both btw Thumbs Up

'Unexpected 'as I walked into the showroom with every intention of either downsizing or walking away from the D4 ...the wife took one look at the Disco Sport though and took pity upon me and thus the D5 was born Rolling with laughter

Have you broken the news over on the other side Laughing

The D5 is a nice car, just bigger than I need hence getting the Velar but there is a tiny bit of doubt about leaving Disco ownership.

    No not yet Laughing

The Velar was a contender tbh...but general cabin space and the elevated driving position of the Disco would have been sorely missed and dust plus Mrs DG's greasy finger marks on those lovely glossy screens and console bits would have driven the Censored into me tbh Laughing

I only popped into Shukers for new wipers and I ended up with a new car Shocked

Glad to be out of the Disco Sport. Shockingly cheap built piece of crap. Rejected my first one. 2nd one (17MY) was far better but still rattled and creaked like an old Renault. New wipers led me to where I should’ve been in the first place.

I had a sit in the Velar whilst at the dealers. Now i know the seat was set slightly high but it nearly took my head off getting in. Ive adopted a stoop to get in the D5 but the Velar was much worse. I should say im not a big guy 5'8" maybe if my legs were in proportion to my body i would be 6' or if the other way 5'4" Laughing

Had it been available I might have ended up in a Golf GTE Shocked ;...thankfully VW have withdrawn it in the UK until they can sort out supply and demand issues. Another twist of fate that has led me back towards the D5 Laughing

It maybe a leg length issue. Short legs seat closer to the front piller. Long body = head bang if not careful Rolling Eyes
