    Hi

    Looks like it took less than an hour. I believe it's a stand alone update that was applied to Phase 5. I will ask the tech when I collect the car on Saturday.

    I am picking up my D5 this afternoon from it's first service at 24000 km.
    They are meant to have installed Phase 4 as i was having minor issues with the infotainment and the service guy said he would write down that my screen went blank so as to get JLR to ok the Phase 4 install.

    I will have just missed Phase 5 and CarPlay Censored Mad Mad Censored

    So did you have Phase 5 applied and then the CarPlay / Android Auto addition or do you have Phase 4 and they just applied the CarPlay / Android Auto addition ?

    I was under the impression Phase 5 is still yet to be released for customer application.

    Hi

    I believe it was phase 5 installed a few days ago. With a separate CarPlay enabling update applied today. I will post the software version once I get the car on Saturday.

    If there are any more questions for the techs I will ask when I’m there.

    I see its now possible to nobble a phone and control virtually ALL of your Apps via the car screen.
    This includes watching YouTube etc!

    Of course I'm not suggestion that anyone watches YouTube while you're driving etc. but it seems that its now possible.
