Retrofit Cooler Box in Centre Console
Hi
Just purchased a 2017 HSE. Comes with everything I was looking for. However, the coolbox in the centre console would be super useful.
Does anyone know if this can be retrofitted? I have seen forum posts regarding this, but not for a D5. Any help, part number etc would be appreciated!

Just my opinion, but I have the cooler box on my '17 and it's all but useless.
It barely keeps anything cool, much less cold.

Same with mine, dealer just ordered a new one, they wouldn’t do that if it wasn’t faulty

Should be possible. I've dismantled the centre console to fit the phone charger (twice because it won't work
). It's a lot of a job but not too difficult (it gets easier the more times you do it
). Fitting a fridge shouldn't be too much more difficult.
I had one fitted from the factory and it works very well.

Hi guys. This my first post. I have a 17 and seems like the cooler isn't working. Only the 4 screws area is cold. Is that normal? Can you guys share how cold should it be? Thanks

They only cool From the bottom plate.
In reality they won’t cool down a drink unless you run for many many hours.
Mine does keeps stuff that’s already cool, cool for as long as it’s switched in
It’s not a fridge. It’s a cooler.
They take a while to get going.
On long journeys ( all day)
I will stick a small bag of ice in the bottom and take it out when melted. That gets it going very quick

Mine cooled only very weak, was brand new, and dealer did find a fault on it and will have it replaced. So let’s check it and don’t take it for granted if it’s only cooling very slowly.

They cool very slowly. It’s a limitation Of the technology.
