Well !! Turns out that the car was not reading the sim, suspected faulty card reader, into local dealer (3 days) new reader installed, software updates and still faulty. Solihull to the rescue, lots of on car searching etc, hey presto job done, Not had a chance to check system but I guess that's another learning curve.
During discussions at dealers they confirmed that any premature oil changes required during warranty period will be covered by LR,
