How Secure is the App
So with all the theft of high value cars, how secure is the remote app?
Has anyone ever come across a security paper for it?

The Remote app is only as secure as your phones passcode at the end of the day. If someone unlocks your phone they can unlock the car.
The remote start function (this requires a PIN too) doesn’t allow the car to be driven off unless the key is in the vehicle.
You can’t steal a car using the app in other words, only unlock it and start the engine to get the climate control running.

That's only if your pin in the LR app and your phone pin are the same. And mine are not. Unlock/lock requires a pin too.

Strange, my phone PIN is a 6 digit (though I actually use FaceID) and the app PIN is only 4.
Never been asked for a PIN to unlock the car or lock it as far as I remember (not done it for a long time so maybe it does).
Remote start asks me for the 4 digit PIN I set in the app. It’s not the same as my phone PIN.

I have to put a pin in to lock and unlock it as well as starting it
Namib Orange 1st Edition with black roof and wheels.
Privacy, tow bar, drive pack, surround camera, heated front & rear seats, auto dim door mirrors, side steps, remote Pro, RSE, arm rest fridge dash cam front and rear.

Fairly secure since for the last week or so the app keep logging out and i need to add email and password to get back into it lol
2023 D300 Metropolitan, Hakuba Silver, Low Range, Solar screen, Deployable towbar, FBH, sidesteps.

Just checked. Yes the 4 digit PIN is requested as well. Maybe at first in the older versions of the app it wasn’t ?? Or I just forgot
