    bonnet wont open

Well - looks like a trip to the stealers. Came to open the bonnent on Saturday, pulled release handle inside, no real click heard like previous times, and seems like the left hand latch may have released but right hand side hasnt, so cant get the bonnect open. Big Cry

Bonnet not realising correctly is a known issue, there's a tech bulletin for it, cables too long, can't pivot release handle to properly release the latches.

mine is rapidly headed that way, takes about 5 or 6 pulls for it to release. will need to book it in, they can look at the SOTA and front parking sesnosrs that go off every time I go below 10mph (and only on the side that the steering wheel if pointed)

so with several having the issue, do we assume JLR have used rubbish release cables in the original manufacture?

probably won't have it til its 4 years old TBH (warranty runs to 4th anniversary)

not a chance am I keeping it beyond that, perhaps not that long (not sure I can put up with the number of dealer visits every year for things not working right, coupled with the horrendous service for Porsche money)

I keep saying and have done for 10 years, this will be my last LR, but it’s a bit addictive for some strange reason plus SWMBO won’t hear of another brand - snob!

sounds about right...I am about to try same on my dealer, but know they'll tell me I can't have a courtesy car and they'll collect and redeliver, meaning I have to be housebound for a day.

*Ahem*, it's called "character." This is what we pay for in Land Rovers since they took out all the Lucas Electric smoke harnesses.

    Rolling with laughter
