    Service costs.

    Hi,

I am now considering to buy the SD4 since the choice in (used) cars is limited and
my own dealer simply gives the best price if I trade my 10 months old F-Pace [petrol] in there.

    The F-Pace is fine, I just don't fit quite well [ 2m tall, 108Kg ].

    The D5 SD4 HSE has done 75.000km/ 46.000mls . I drive the family car about 15-20k km / 9-13k mls annually.

    So scedule would look like [ next service sceduled for januari 2021] ;
    6 months 3yrs old 50k miles
    18 months 4yrs old 60k miles
    30 months 5yrs old 70k miles

Anybody has any figures with service costs on these ages/milages ?

When are discs/blocks due [mainly highway, little braking] ?

The D3 / TdV6 I had for ten years needed a major service [belt, wheels, tensioner, waterpump] at 100k miles or every 6 yrs, whatever came first .

Anything like that known for the SD4 ?? [2018 registered, built 01/01/2017].

Not sure if the servicing is different over there, but here I think the 3L has 16000 miles / 12 months service, whereas the 2L has 20000 miles / 24 month services.

Here’s the link. A search on servicing brings it up.

Yes, I read this but only the first bit. We do not have these 'service packages'.
We pay 'by-the-hour' plus parts etc etc.

Some of the comments in that post contain prices rather than service plans. I know mine did. Shop around and get quotes?

I plainly asked the service desk person on my dealership.
He looked at the realised expenses of two higher mileage cars.

From 68k km to 175k km [42 - 110k mls] totall costs for servicing,
replacing brake pads and disks all around, came to € 4200.

So around GBP 3800 for the span of 70k miles, roughly GBP 0.05 per mile Mr. Green
