InControl Map Download
I'm trying to download the latest european map from the Incontrol web site. I've plugged in a portable hard drive which has way more than the approx.30Gb required, however, when I click the refresh bx in the download window, nothing happens. I have repeatedly followed the instructions all to no avail.
Does any one else have similar experiences and, more importantly a solution?
Thanks in advance.

I couldn't get my portable hard drive (iOmega) to work either, and had to get a hi-cap flash drive from Amazon.

If you reformat, make sure it is FAT32 - the InControl system will not recognise any other so far.

Make sure you get the latest installer. They offer it when you try to download a map.

and be prepared for it to take AGES (I mean hours) to download, even with a decent broadband speed.

@Nick Howard
They sell you 35Mb.. .. but reality might be different. Jus try tonight at 9pm and use this speedtest.
People are surfing, streaming movies, the grid is fully loaded. You might get just 6Mb...

Still having problems
Hi all
I still can't get an update to download! I've got good, high speed, stable internet connection, a 1TB USB 3, an iMac with macOS Big Sur and...
it still takes forever to download with frequent drop outs. Beginning to think its a complete con and a waste of money and I should just use ACP!
Anyone out there got any ideas?
Nick

What are you using, a UBS stick or a hard drive?
It does take a long time! Mine used to take all day wit a 30Mb download speed.
The download speed is only part of the equation, the site seems very slow at sending the data.
2017 HSE now sold, if you own WF17AXN then you have a well sorted car!

I too find it very slow,, several hours to dowload an update using 200Mb fibre, I presume it is the site that is very slow at pushing out the data|
