    Aftermarket Roof Rails - Easy to fit and cheaper?

    I see Landrover quote over £600 to supply and fit roof rails. Is it cheaper to buy aftermarket ones and anyone done this. They easy to fit?

    Rails are fairly easy to fit. I posted some pics and advice when I did mine. I used genuine parts though.

    I recently bought the genuine ditch fillers and aftermarket rails, one rail fitted perfectly, the other though sits a little off the roof on one side, given the choice again I’d fit genuine.

    No, couldn’t be bothered with the hassle, installing it, putting stuff on, taking it off etc. Just hitch up my trailer if I need extra space, far simpler IMHO.

    I fitted OEM ones myself. Quite easy.

    If you got time, the trim bits you take off actually have the cutouts marked on them.

    You don't need to buy the LR ditch filler and rear trim panel IF you're careful, don't break any clips etc. The trim parts added £160 to my order.

    cost £550 from Duckworth

    I've been quoted £550 today from Duckworth.

    Is there anywhere better for buying them, prefer to get genuine ones
