INCONTROL ROUTE PLANNER
Hello
anyone having issues adding their vehicle to InControl Route Planner? when entering my VIN, I get message saying invalid VIN Number.

I’ve just added my car onto the route planner after the dealer I bought the car off had to replace the telematic module. Even though it wouldn’t connect from the car the info into the Incontrol webpage it would accept the VIN.
If this is a new car to you could the old owner still be linked on the account so not letting details be put into your account as VIN registered elsewhere?

Ah ok rules out being registered with someone else. I’d get in touch with dealer as it may need registering by them first when new? Congrats on the new D5 too!

Really? That’s a bit of a backwards step with pivi pro then?
Can you still get map updates and live traffic on your pivi pro? It’ll just be the ability to plan your route before leaving the house and syncing with the car when you get in or out.
Unless your dealer trying to fob you off with excuses?

Info cam from Land Rover Cust Serv, not the dealer. My understanding is that updates are done over the 4G network, as the D5 has an embedded sim, same setup as my old M5C I traded.
It is a shame that you cannot plan routes before the journey, as this was a feature I liked before. But we can’t have everything as they say.
Just need to find someone who can remap things to give it a bit more umph….

My MY18 gets updates over the 4G network from the sim built in and I have route planner as part of my incontrol account.
Can you put your seats up and down, pre heat or cool remotely etc? The pre heat and cool is the thing I use the most.

Can’t move the seats remotely as it’s only the SE model, but I have the remote start that allows cabin temp to be set.
