Spare wheel theft
Hi, I’ve been the victim of a spare wheel theft so am now unfortunately doing my research about protecting the wheel after the fact!
I’ve always used a crook lock and faraday pouches for the keys but didn’t know about the spare wheel theft.
It seems the thieves drilled through the winch so I need to replace the winch, alloy wheel, tyre, tpm etc so all in about £1700 from the dealer.
Before I go ahead and do this are there any other options?
Is the RLD protector still the best defence or is there anything else I should consider?
Thanks in advance.

It is. Pity your a distance away as I have one for sale, but I don’t fancy shipping it.

I'm surprised it wasn't fitted with at least a LR one. These were supplied free of charge after a spate of thefts of the spares in the early days. Just buy yourself a can of foam that's all that's supplied in new cars these days, and save some money.
