Wiresless Charging on MY2021 D300 HSE

    Hi All,
First post here - be kind! I have recently purchased a MY2021 D300 HSE and I would like to see if it is possible to fit the factory spec wireless phone charging module to the car. Has anyone successfully completed this? If so how hard was it and does where does it even go on the car?!
    Thank you.

    Hi Rob,

I found these guys have a few handy how-to videos on YouTube for all things Discovery/Land Rover, their web store also has a few nice bits and bobs to browse through...

The video link below might not be exactly what you're looking for as it won't fit if your D300 is the newer facelift model (excuse my D5 newbie ignorance)... but it may point toward some fitting options. I fitted this particular one to my '17 plate TD6...works a treat, even with my centre cubby box being a cooler Thumbs Up

I just used a wireless charging pad with a non slip base like this one:

It’s tucked in the cubby where the factory fit one would be and works fine on my facelift.

I really wouldn't bother, if I was you. I have a MY23.5, and perhaps because I have an Otterbox case on my iPhone 15 Pro Max for protection (and on my 12 Pro Max before it), the OE charge pad is beyond useless.

Phones get HOT on it, and there's no air circulation in the space where they install it, and I've found on more than one occasion the phones gets so hot that it switches off to go into protection mode. I charge it with a handy USB-C curly cable instead now, the pad's been forgotten about as not fit for purpose. Doesn't happen on any wireless charge pad I use in the home or work - it's jus the LR one which is useless, IMHO.

I have Motorola Android phone which is in a case and it charges fine on the pad. I admit it does get hot but never switched off.

My 23.5 model has it and my iPhone is in an apple skin and it charges and boosts signal fine, it can get hot sometimes but never switches off, i have noticed it pauses the charge sometimes when its fully charged but still boosts the signal which is more important than the charging around here
